In vitro antimicrobial activities of several extracts endophytic Pseudomonas azotoformans UICC B-91

Abstract Pseudomonas azotoformans known for the benefit on agriculture area as soil fertility enhancer. UICC B-91 was successfully isolated from tissues of N. altissima which traditionally treating infectious diseases. Therefore, endophytic P. might contain antimicrobial compound. This research aims exploring activities several extracts against pathogenic microbes. Isolates were extracted with dichloromethane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate. Each crude extract observed its potential activity disc diffusion method pathogen Bioactive compound assayed by thin layer chromatography (TLC) screened bioautography. Results indicated that all have inhibitory effect Escherichia coli ATCC 8739, Bacillus cereus 10876, Staphylococcus aureus 6583, 25923, Salmonella typhimurium 25241, aeruginosa 15442, subtilis 19659 Candida albicans 10231. Highest clear zone dichloromethane extract. TLC fraction able to inhibit growth bacteria (except B. S. 6583) fungi at minimum concentration in range 125-1,000 μg/mL 125 μg/mL, respectively. antibacterial anticandidal effect.
